Sankar IAS Academy is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our Accounts Department in Coimbatore. This role is ideal for candidates looking to start or grow their career in finance within the education sector. The selected candidate will assist with daily accounting tasks, fee management, and financial reporting.
- Maintain accurate records of day-to-day accounting transactions
- Manage and reconcile student fee payments and receipts
- Handle petty cash disbursements and ensure proper documentation
- Prepare and process vouchers, bills, and invoices
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting activities
- Assist with GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance entries
- Coordinate with the senior accountant and administration team for seamless financial processes
- Organize and maintain files of all financial documentation
- Ensure timely and accurate data entry and bank reconciliations
- Bachelor�s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or a related discipline
- 0�2 years of experience in accounting (freshers are welcome to apply)
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial procedures
- Proficiency in Tally, MS Excel, and other accounting software
- Strong attention to detail and good communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive financial data with integrity
