Job Description: Accountant at TVS Two-Wheeler Main Dealership


Key Responsibilities:


  • Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement) to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Monitor key financial metrics and prepare regular financial reports for management.
  • Conduct variance analysis to identify trends and potential issues.
  • Accounting Operations:
  • Oversee daily accounting activities, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger.
  • Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and prepare bank reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and costs.
  • Tax Compliance:
  • Prepare and file various tax returns (GST, VAT, Income Tax) in compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Handle tax audits and ensure timely payment of taxes.
  • Internal Controls:
  • Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accuracy of financial information.
  • Conduct regular reviews of internal controls and recommend improvements.
  • Payroll Processing:
  • Oversee the payroll process, including calculating salaries, deductions, and taxes.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payment of salaries and statutory deductions.
  • Dealer Management System (DMS):
  • Utilize DMS software to manage financial data and generate reports.
  • Stay updated with DMS software updates and enhancements.
  • Compliance and Risk Management:
  • Stay updated with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks.


Qualifications and Skills:


  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software (Tally, SAP, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


Additional Considerations:


  • Experience in working with DMS software used by TVS dealerships.
  • Knowledge of local tax laws and regulations.
  • Understanding of automotive dealership operations.
