Accountant, back office

The Accountant will be responsible for managing the financial records, transactions, and reporting for our financial investment company based in Noida. This role requires strong knowledge of accounting principles, including GST regulations and tax implications related to the Indian stock market. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.

• Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and financial statements.
  
• Transaction Processing: Process all financial transactions, including invoices, payments, receipts, and bank reconciliations.
  
• GST Compliance: Ensure compliance with GST regulations, including timely filing of GST returns, reconciliation of input and output taxes, and handling of GST audits.
  
• Tax Planning and Compliance: Stay updated on tax laws and regulations related to the Indian stock market. Provide guidance on tax planning strategies and ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws.
  
• Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review. Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
  
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor budget performance and provide insights to management on financial performance.
  
• Audit Support: Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits. Prepare audit schedules and provide necessary documentation to support audit findings.
  
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency. Implement best practices to enhance the accuracy and reliability of financial reporting.
  
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, including investment management, compliance, and operations, to ensure alignment on financial objectives and reporting requirements.
  

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CA certification preferred.
  
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the financial services industry.
  
• Strong knowledge of GST regulations and tax implications related to the Indian stock market.
  
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, or SAP.
  
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  
• Familiarity with investment products and financial markets is a plus.

Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
