- Diagnose and treat patients using Ayurvedic principles (e.g., Dosha analysis, Prakriti assessment).
- Prescribe herbal medicines, dietary regimens, and lifestyle modifications.
- Perform/supervise Panchakarma therapies (e.g., Virechana, Basti) with trained therapists.
- Manage chronic conditions (e.g., arthritis, diabetes, digestive disorders) with Ayurvedic protocols.
- Coordinate with allopathic doctors for complementary care (if hospital permits integrative medicine).
- Refer cases to modern medicine specialists when required (e.g., emergencies, surgical needs).
- Maintain patient records as per CCIM/NCISM and hospital guidelines.
- Ensure all prescriptions include BAMS registration number (mandatory by law).
- Adhere to biomedical waste rules for Ayurvedic pharmacies/therapies.
- Conduct workshops on preventive Ayurveda (e.g., seasonal routines, Yoga).
- Supervise Ayurvedic wellness programs (e.g., detox camps, stress management).
- Train nursing staff on Ayurvedic drug administration.
- Manage pharmacy inventory (herbal medicines, medicated oils).
- Degree: Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery (BAMS) from a CCIM-recognized college.
- Registration: Valid license from NCISM/State Ayurvedic Council (attach registration number).
- Experience: 3-5 years in clinical Ayurveda
