Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Purchaser to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing procurement processes, sourcing materials, and ensuring efficient supply chain operations. This position requires expertise in various procurement management systems and a strong understanding of inventory control, supplier management, and contract negotiation.

Duties

• Manage the procurement process from sourcing to purchasing, ensuring timely acquisition of materials.
  
• Utilize ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS for inventory management and procurement activities.
  
• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and negotiate contracts to secure favorable pricing.
  
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to understand material requirements and ensure alignment with production schedules.
  
• Monitor inventory levels and implement MRP strategies to optimize stock levels while minimizing excess inventory.
  
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure quality service and timely delivery of products.
  
• Oversee logistics related to supply chain operations, ensuring efficient movement of goods from suppliers to the organization.
  
• Prepare and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  
• Analyze purchasing data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for improvement in supply chain management.
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience in purchasing or procurement management within a manufacturing environment.
  
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle EBS) and their application in procurement processes.
  
• Familiarity with supply chain management principles, including sourcing, logistics, and vendor management.
  
• Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful contract negotiations.
  
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data related to pricing, inventory control, and supplier performance.
  
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.
