Job Description

The candidate will be responsible for plan, schedule, monitor and control all Civil related activities to ensure timely delivery of project, while optimizing resource utilization, minimizing downtime and aligning with customer delivery requirements.

Required Qualification:

B.E. / B. Tech in Civil / Industrial Engineering or related fields,

Required Experience:

6–8 years of experience in Civil Engineering,

Preferred Industry: Precast structures / Steel fabrication / Infrastructure components (bridges, girders, slabs, pipes, etc.) / Construction material manufacturing

Salary Budget:

40 k to 50 k / per month

Required by Date -

At the earliest.

Roles & Responsibilities: -

1. Structural Design & Analysis

• Design of structural foundations and supports for fabricated components (e.g., heavy equipment, tanks, steel structures).
  
• Coordinate with design teams to review shop drawings and ensure structural integrity.
  
• Analyse loads and stresses to ensure designs meet industry standards.
  

2. Project Planning & Execution

• Oversee civil construction activities including layout, foundation, RCC, and steel structures.
  
• Prepare and manage civil project schedules to align with fabrication timelines.
  
• Monitor progress and ensure timely completion of civil works for installation of fabricated units.
  

3. Site Coordination

• Coordinate between civil works and fabrication teams to ensure site readiness.
  
• Resolve technical and site issues related to structural and civil work.
  
• Ensure alignment between on-ground civil infrastructure and fabricated components.
  

4. Quality Control & Compliance

• Ensure all civil works comply with design specifications and quality standards (e.g., IS codes, AISC, BS codes).
  
• Conduct inspections and quality checks of concrete, steel reinforcement, foundation levels, etc.
  
• Maintain documentation for inspections, test results, and compliance reports.
  

5. Vendor & Contractor Management

• Supervise subcontractors and vendors involved in civil construction activities.
  
• Validate work progress for billing and payment approvals.
  
• Evaluate contractor performance and ensure safety compliance.
  

6. Budgeting & Estimation

• Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and cost estimates for civil components of fabrication projects.
  
• Monitor and control project budgets to prevent cost overruns.
  

7. Safety & Risk Management

• Implement site safety measures for all civil construction activities.
  
• Conduct risk assessments related to civil infrastructure and its impact on fabrication/installation.
  

8. Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly progress reports.
  
• Maintain as-built drawings, technical documentation, and change logs.
  

Required Skills & Competencies:

Technical Skills –

Ø Knowledge of design and analysis of steel and RCC structures, foundations for heavy fabricated equipment, and support systems.

Ø Proficiency in 2D and 3D drafting software (AutoCAD, Tekla, STAAD Pro, Revit, etc.).

Ø Deep understanding of civil construction processes, formwork, concreting, shuttering, rebar, earthworks, and finishing.

Ø Ability to interpret fabrication, structural, and architectural drawings.

Ø

Ability to prepare BOQs and calculate material requirements for civil works.

Ø Familiarity with MS Project, Primavera, or other project management tools.

Ø Knowledge of testing standards for concrete, soil, rebar, etc., and implementation of QA/QC procedures.

Ø Familiarity with relevant codes (IS, ACI, BS, ASTM, AISC, Eurocodes, etc.).

Ø Understanding of the relationship between civil foundations and fabricated structures like tanks, pipelines, structural steel, etc.

Ø Ability to manage day-to-day activities on site, labor management, and coordination with contractors.

Ø Ability to work with cross-functional teams — mechanical, electrical, and fabrication teams.

Ø High level of accuracy in reviewing drawings, specifications, and construction activities.

Ø Capability to lead site teams, manage contractors, and ensure productivity and discipline.

Ø Efficiently plan tasks and prioritize work to meet tight project deadlines.

Ø Ability to manage budgets and minimize wastage or overuse of materials.

Ø Strong knowledge of safety protocols and ability to enforce them on site.

Ø Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and site conditions.

Ø Skill in maintaining site records, preparing progress reports, and ensuring compliance with documentation standards.

Other Skills -

Ø Useful in coordinating complex fabrication and civil interface projects.

Ø Experience with project management or procurement systems is a plus.

Ø Helps in coordinating better with fabrication teams.

Ø Awareness of sustainable construction practices.
