Job Summary:

K. R. Mangalam University is seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable

Cybersecurity Trainer/Faculty to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging, practical, and industry-relevant instruction in the field of cybersecurity. You will help shape the next generation of cybersecurity professionals by teaching core concepts, current tools, and real-world best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching & Training

• Deliver lectures, lab sessions, and workshops on topics such as:
  

+ Introduction to Cybersecurity

+ Network Security

+ Ethical Hacking & Penetration Testing

+ Cyber Laws and Policies

+ Information Security Management (e.g., ISO 27001)

+ Security Operations (SOC) and Incident Response

+ Cryptography

+ Cloud Security

+ Security Auditing and Risk Management

• Conduct hands-on training using tools such as Wireshark, Kali Linux, Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nessus, and others.
  
• Create course materials, lesson plans, assessments, and lab exercises aligned with academic and industry standards.
  

Student Engagement & Mentorship

• Mentor students in academic projects, certifications, and cybersecurity competitions (e.g., CTFs, hackathons).
  
• Guide students pursuing industry certifications like CEH, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, etc.
  
• Provide academic and career counseling related to cybersecurity paths.
  

Curriculum Development

• Contribute to the design and continuous improvement of cybersecurity-related programs and course content.
  
• Collaborate with industry experts to align the curriculum with emerging threats, tools, and techniques.
  

Academic and Institutional Responsibilities

• Participate in departmental meetings, accreditation processes, and academic planning.
  
• Support university outreach, seminars, guest lectures, workshops, and student recruitment initiatives.
  
• Maintain academic integrity and compliance with institutional policies.
  

Qualifications:
Educational Requirements:

• Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  
• Industry certifications (such as CEH, CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, OSCP, etc.) are highly preferred.
  

Experience:

• Minimum [2–5] years of teaching/training experience in cybersecurity or related IT security fields.
  
• Hands-on industry experience in cybersecurity roles (e.g., Security Analyst, SOC Specialist, Penetration Tester, Cybersecurity Consultant) is highly desirable.
  

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong technical expertise in cybersecurity tools, techniques, and protocols.
  
• Proficient in both offensive (red team) and defensive (blue team) security strategies.
  
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO/IEC 27001, MITRE ATT&CK).
  
• Excellent communication, presentation, and classroom management skills.
  
• Experience with online teaching tools and Learning Management Systems (LMS) is a plus.
  

Desirable Attributes:

• Research publications, consulting experience, or contributions to the cybersecurity community.
  
• Ability to foster a cybersecurity mindset and promote ethical responsibility in students.
  
• Interest in contributing to cybersecurity awareness, outreach programs, and public engagement.
