- Develop and maintain embedded firmware for digital communication systems including HF,
- VHF, UHF and Microwave radios
- Implement low-level drivers, board support packages (BSPs), and real-time operating systems
- (RTOS) for custom hardware platforms
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to define system architecture and ensure seamless
- integration
- Optimize firmware for performance, reliability, and power efficiency in rugged environments
- Support secure communication protocols and encryption modules
- Conduct rigorous testing and validation to meet MIL-STD and DO-178C compliance
- Maintain detailed technical documentation and participate in design reviews
- Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation in embedded system design
- Experience with SDR (Software Defined Radio) platforms
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in embedded firmware development for defense or aerospace systems
- Proficiency in C/C++ and assembly for microcontrollers and SoCs
- Experience with RTOS (e.g., VxWorks, FreeRTOS, SysBIOS) and embedded Linux
- Familiarity with secure communication protocols (e.g., AES, ECC, IPsec)
- Strong debugging skills using JTAG, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers
- Knowledge of military standards and compliance requirements.
