Job Description – Engineer PPC (SAP)

Position: Engineer – PPC (SAP)
Location: MIDC Talegaon, Pune, India

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute Production Planning & Control (PPC) activities in alignment with plant requirements.
  
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on demand and capacity.
  
• Handle Material Requirement Planning (MRP) in SAP for smooth flow of raw materials and components.
  
• Preparation and maintenance of Bill of Materials (BOMs) for production processes.
  
• Maintain and manage SAP material codes with thorough accuracy and control.
  
• Monitor and track production progress, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
  
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as Production, Purchase, Stores, and Quality for seamless operations.
  
• Optimize inventory levels to balance production requirements and minimize carrying costs.
  
• Analyze variances in production schedules and suggest corrective actions.
  
• Generate and review PPC-related MIS reports from SAP for management.
  
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce downtime.
  

Candidate Profile:

• Education: Diploma / B.E. in Engineering (Mechanical/Production/Industrial preferred).
  
• Experience: 4–5 years of relevant experience in Production Planning & Control from a reputed manufacturing industry.
  
• Technical Skills:
  
• Proficiency in SAP (PP Module) is mandatory.
  
• SAP PP Certification will be an added advantage.
  
• Strong knowledge of BOM preparation and SAP material code management.
  
• Solid understanding of MRP, scheduling, and capacity planning.
  
• Other Skills:
  
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
  
• Ability to work effectively under deadlines.
