Salesdiary is the digital backbone for field-force and distribution-led enterprises across FMCG, fresh foods, beverages, and heavy materials. It unifies SFA, DMS, Retailer, and Influencer modules into one data-driven ecosystem, with a web PWA for dashboards, governance, and administration. Why this Role Exists (Founder-Level Impact)


You will be the Platform Head for our PWA (executive cockpit) and accompanying API server (Node/Express + PostgreSQL). This is a company-shaping position: whole functionalities and underlying architecture are within scope—beyond load-time tweaks. Any meaningful feature touches schema, APIs, and surfaces across SFA, DMS, Retailer, and Influencer apps, so every engineer is full-stack by expectation (we’ll help you skill up adjacent stacks).


Founding Mandate: Re-architect the Platform & Reimagine the UX


Own the control plane of Salesdiary (PWA + API). Your job isn’t just to tune queries—it’s to reshape how CXOs, MIS, and IT Admins run their business on Salesdiary.


First 12 Weeks — Platform Charter & UX North Star

Platform Charter: architecture principles, ADRs, versioning/deprecation, release trains; define strangler-fig migration patterns.

Information Architecture (IA) Redesign: move to a task-oriented IA (governance, approvals, masters, analytics, configuration).


â—

Design System v1: tokenized, accessible component library; ship a reference end-to-end flow in the new system.


â—

Domain & Data Boundaries: define bounded contexts (e.g., Governance, Masters, Schemes, Approvals, Analytics, Security) with versioned API contracts and event schemas.


â—

Platform Readiness: feature flags, config-as-code, and meaningful observability for exec use-cases.


3–6 Months — Replatforming in Motion (Zero-Downtime)

Modular PWA: domain-scoped modules with isolated state/routing; backwards-compatible APIs to shield mobile clients while schemas evolve.


â—

Unified Admin Workbench: left-nav by domain, right-pane actions, global search/command palette, approval/task inbox.


â—

Event-Driven Extensions: outbox/event-bus for cross-app workflows (e.g., scheme update → DMS sync → SFA nudges) without point-to-point sprawl.

Schema Modernization: append-only, auditable patterns; RBAC down to row/field for CXO vs MIS vs IT Admin views.

Governance & Safety Rails: policy-as-code for migrations; smoke tests for top workflows; auditable change logs. 6–12 Months — Platformization & Scale

Design System v2 + IA Hardening: migrate top workflows; deprecate legacy routes; measure fewer clicks and faster time-to-task.

Public API Catalog: documented SLAs, examples, SDK stubs; consumer-driven contracts to protect SFA/DMS/Retailer/Influencer.

Self-Serve Builders: guided, validated builders for schemes/targets/forms/roles so business teams configure without tickets.

Operational Excellence for Business Outcomes: SLOs for task completion latency and data freshness, not just uptime.

What You’ll Own


â—

Platform Architecture (PEAN): Angular PWA, Node/Express APIs, PostgreSQL schemas; performance budgets; caching & resiliency patterns.

Information Architecture & Design System: tokens, components, patterns, accessibility, error/empty-state strategy.


â—

Security-by-Design: OIDC/OAuth2 SSO, MFA via OIDC providers, RBAC, audit logs; align to ISO 27001/SOC 2 expectations.

Reliability & Release Mgmt.: SLOs/SLIs, CI/CD, safe migrations/rollbacks, auditable change logs; monthly uptime targets per SLA.


â—

Cross-Ecosystem Delivery: DB/API evolution and compatibility layers that keep SFA, DMS, Retailer & Influencer apps humming while the platform moves.


â—

Developer Experience: code standards, PR reviews, Git strategy, automation (GitHub Actions/runners), observability, on-call hygiene.


â—

Team Building: hire, mentor, and set the technical bar and rituals for a high-ownership team.


Who You Are


â— 6+ years building and scaling the PEAN stack in production (Angular, Node/Express, PostgreSQL).


â— Strong schema design & query optimization; ergonomic, versioned APIs; background jobs/queues; pagination/caching for analytics dashboards.


â— Hands-on with OIDC/OAuth2 SSO, RBAC, audit trails, secure coding patterns.


â— A builder and product thinker with crisp writing, decisive trade-offs, and bias for shipping.


â— Experience mentoring or building teams; you value people, process, and product equally.

Compensation & ESOPs

â— Performance Linked Incentive : we have a transparent and robust PLI Scheme for all employees and every new customer onboarded contributes to this, the PLI is not capped at 100%.


â— ESOPs available after Year-1, vesting 25% / 25% / 50%. (We do not highlight ESOPs in branding today; no buybacks/dividends planned in the immediate term.)
