The GeM (Government e-Marketplace) Portal Account Manager acts as a key liaison between government buyers and suppliers/vendors registered on the GeM platform. This role involves managing relationships, ensuring smooth transactions, facilitating vendor onboarding, and providing support to maximize user satisfaction and platform efficiency.
- Vendor Management:
- Onboard new vendors and ensure they meet the required compliance and quality standards.
- Guide vendors in product listing, catalog management, and compliance with GeM policies.
- Resolve vendor issues related to registration, bidding, payments, or product listings.
- Buyer Support:
- Assist government buyers in navigating the portal, placing orders, and raising service requests.
- Provide timely support and resolve grievances related to purchases, payments, or delivery.
- Account Growth & Engagement:
- Identify opportunities to increase vendor participation and buyer engagement on the portal.
- Conduct outreach programs, training sessions, and workshops for vendors and buyers.
- Monitor vendor performance and recommend improvements for enhanced service quality.
- Coordination & Reporting:
- Coordinate with internal teams like IT, finance, and legal to address operational challenges.
- Prepare reports on account activity, transaction volumes, and user feedback for senior management.
- Compliance & Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all transactions comply with GeM policies and government procurement norms.
- Monitor product/service quality and address non-compliance issues promptly.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good understanding of government procurement processes and e-marketplace platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
- Problem-solving and customer service orientation.
- Basic technical knowledge of online portals and e-commerce systems.
- Experience in vendor management, sales, or account management is preferred.
