GeM Portal Account Manager


Role Overview:

The GeM (Government e-Marketplace) Portal Account Manager acts as a key liaison between government buyers and suppliers/vendors registered on the GeM platform. This role involves managing relationships, ensuring smooth transactions, facilitating vendor onboarding, and providing support to maximize user satisfaction and platform efficiency.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Vendor Management:
  • Onboard new vendors and ensure they meet the required compliance and quality standards.
  • Guide vendors in product listing, catalog management, and compliance with GeM policies.
  • Resolve vendor issues related to registration, bidding, payments, or product listings.
  • Buyer Support:
  • Assist government buyers in navigating the portal, placing orders, and raising service requests.
  • Provide timely support and resolve grievances related to purchases, payments, or delivery.
  • Account Growth & Engagement:
  • Identify opportunities to increase vendor participation and buyer engagement on the portal.
  • Conduct outreach programs, training sessions, and workshops for vendors and buyers.
  • Monitor vendor performance and recommend improvements for enhanced service quality.
  • Coordination & Reporting:
  • Coordinate with internal teams like IT, finance, and legal to address operational challenges.
  • Prepare reports on account activity, transaction volumes, and user feedback for senior management.
  • Compliance & Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure all transactions comply with GeM policies and government procurement norms.
  • Monitor product/service quality and address non-compliance issues promptly.


Skills and Qualifications:


  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good understanding of government procurement processes and e-marketplace platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
  • Problem-solving and customer service orientation.
  • Basic technical knowledge of online portals and e-commerce systems.
  • Experience in vendor management, sales, or account management is preferred.


Job Types: Full-time, Permanent


Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
