Job description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced ,immediate Joiner Senior Accountant to manage and oversee the daily operations of our accounting department. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, Indian tax laws, financial reporting, and hands-on experience with accounting software.
- Manage general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards (Ind AS / Indian GAAP)
- Ensure timely filing of GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and other statutory returns
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Liaise with internal departments and external auditors for audits and financial reviews
- Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements
- Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting processes
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff
- Coordinate with tax consultants and ensure timely filing of income tax returns
- Manage fixed asset register and depreciation schedules
- Support the finance manager in preparing MIS reports and other financial documents
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance (B.Com / M.Com)
- CA Inter / CMA Inter preferred (not mandatory)
- 5–6 years of hands-on accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards, GST, TDS, and Income Tax
- Proficient in Tally or other ERP/accounting software.
- Excellent Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and work independently
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
