We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist.

• Markets and Services Securities (MSS) division is a very strong pillar in HSBC group, especially in the functions of Capital Markets and Investment Banking
  
• Market Operations and Technology (MOT) caters to the needs of Business and Operations stakeholders to be a technology enabler and help them in their Digital Transformation journey
  
• Equity Post Trade department is within MOT and plays a very instrumental role in settlement of Cash and Structured Equities
  

Successful candidates will be part of Market Operations – Equities Post Trade IT within Markets & Securities Services, wherein she/he will have opportunity to be part of Equities Settlement Back Office system called ETP. This is an Individual Contributor Role, technical ‘Hands-On’ role, based in Pune, India. Developer will also have opportunity to work closely with the Market Operations counterparts and development team based in London, UK

In this role, you will:

• DEVOPS role for a (cross functional engineer) to provide Technical Analysis, Coding and essential support for the Equities Back Office settlement system. This person will be vital in assisting with any ETP Integration supporting applications. Candidate will work on the ETP platform deliveries working with Operations Product Owners, Development and QA teams globally.
  
• As a Devops Engineer, responsible for coding, Unit Testing, Deployment, preparing technical Specifications, perform Server Maintenance Tasks and Production Support.
  
• Role is of an Individual Contributor but requires to be a great Team player with capability to learn quickly on the job
  
• Work would include Development activities like coding for Change Requests, Unit Testing, Production Support, scripting & managing CI/CD aspects of the application
  
• As Devops Engineer, Production Support aspect of the job is essential part of the responsibilities. This includes, but not limited to, Mailbox and Job Monitoring, escalations and communications with various upstream and downstream systems and any other stakeholders.
  

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Overall minimum 06 years or above of industry experience � Must have
  
• Excellent hold on Multivalued Systems Like UniData/Universe by Rocket Software. � Must Have
  
• Proficient with Unix commands � Must have
  
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process � Must have
  
• Zeal to work towards process automation � Must Have
  
• Technical Skills Must Have:
  

+ Pickbasic/UniBasic programing language

+ Universe Database /UniData Database

+ UNIX/Shell Scripting

• Functional Skills Must Have:
  

+ Middle and Back Office functionality of Cash Equities Trading

What additional skills will be good to have?

• Good understanding of Middle and Back Office functionality of Cash Equities Trading
  
• Good working experience with DevOps tools like GIT, Jenkins, JIRA, Confluence etc.
