Position: Principal
Location: Samastipur, Bihar
Qualification: B.Ed (M.Ed / Postgraduate preferred)
Experience: 5–10 years (including teaching & academic/administrative leadership)
Salary Range: ₹80,000 – ₹90,000 per month (negotiable based on profile & school type)
Gender Preference: Male


About the Role


The Principal will provide academic leadership, administrative direction, and strategic vision to ensure the school delivers high-quality education, fosters holistic student development, and maintains compliance with board/regulatory standards.


Key Responsibilities


1. Academic Leadership


  • Develop, implement, and monitor curriculum and teaching methodologies.
  • Ensure academic excellence through effective assessment systems.
  • Drive innovative teaching practices and promote continuous learning.


2. Administration & Operations


  • Oversee day-to-day functioning of the school, including scheduling, examinations, and compliance with CBSE/State Board norms.
  • Manage infrastructure, safety, and resources efficiently.
  • Prepare and manage school budgets, ensuring financial discipline.


3. Staff Management


  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, mentoring, and evaluation of teachers and staff.
  • Build a motivated team through training, workshops, and professional development.
  • Maintain discipline, accountability, and performance culture among staff.


4. Student Development


  • Ensure student welfare, discipline, and engagement in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.
  • Encourage holistic growth—academic, cultural, sports, and values-based learning.
  • Provide counselling support and maintain strong student-teacher relationships.


5. Parent & Community Relations


  • Act as the primary liaison between parents, management, and staff.
  • Address concerns and maintain transparency in communication.
  • Build positive community presence and represent the school at public/educational forums.


6. Governance & Compliance


  • Ensure adherence to government, CBSE/State Board, and educational trust regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and audit readiness.
  • Present school performance and development plans to the management board.

Educational Qualification


  • Bachelor’s degree (any discipline) plus B.Ed (essential)
  • Higher qualifications (M.Ed / Master’s / educational leadership certificate) preferred


Experience


  • Minimum 5 to 10 years of teaching experience
  • At least 3-5 years in leadership or administrative role (e.g. Vice-Principal, Head of Department, Academic Co-ordinator) is a plus

  • Oversee curriculum implementation, academic planning, assessment schedule, and student performance
  • Monitor teaching quality and provide mentorship / feedback to teachers
  • Staff Management
  • Recruitment, supervision, training & professional development of teaching and non-teaching staff
  • Maintain staff discipline, staffing schedules, appraisal
  • Student Welfare & Discipline
  • Maintain high standards of student behaviour and welfare
  • Manage student admissions, counselling, extra-curricular programs
  • Operations & Administration
  • Budgeting & financial oversight
  • Maintenance of infrastructure, school safety, and compliance with legal/board norms
  • Liaison with parents, community, education department
  • Reporting & Accountability
  • Reporting academic outcomes, financials, regulatory compliance to the management / board
  • Ensure audit, inspection readiness
  • Communication
  • Maintain positive relationships with stakeholders: parents, staff, government / board officials
  • Represent the school in public forums
