Quality Engineer (Real Estate)
Location: Ludhiana
Salary: 25,000 to 40,000
Qualification: Diploma/Degree (Mechanical)
Experience: 3 to 6 years (preferably in real estate / construction projects)
Job Summary:
Responsible for ensuring construction quality and compliance across residential/commercial projects. The role involves site inspections, material testing oversight, preparing and enforcing QC procedures, and coordinating with contractors, consultants and clients to deliver defect-free work.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement and maintain the site Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) plan.
Conduct regular site inspections to check workmanship, material usage and conformity to drawings and specifications.
Review architectural and structural drawings for constructability and quality implications.
Monitor and supervise material testing (concrete, steel, soil, mortar, etc.) and ensure test reports are recorded.
Raise, track and close Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Prepare daily/weekly quality reports and punch lists; maintain inspection records and QA documentation.
Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, contractors and external consultants for quality issues.
Ensure compliance with relevant Indian Standards (IS codes), safety norms and company procedures.
Train site staff on quality standards, inspection checklists and best practices.
Support pre-delivery inspections and handover quality checks.
Required Skills & Competencies:
Good knowledge of construction materials, RCC works, formwork, finishing works and basic MEP understanding
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Experience with material testing procedures and interpreting test reports.
Familiarity with QA/QC documentation, checklists and NCR processes.
Strong observational skills, attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
Good communication and coordination skills; ability to handle site teams and contractors.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD / basic surveying tools is a plus.
