About the Role

Position Overview:

Seeking an accounting/finance professional with at least 8 years of

experience, who possesses superior problem solving skills, experience to make changes

within their remit, and strong foundational skills in accounting, financial reporting and

analysis, change management, organizational and interpersonal communication skills.

Reporting to the Assistant Director, Client Finance, this position is responsible for

providing key support around revenue recognition & billing, month-end close and income

forecasting, client contract reviews as well as coordination with business leads and

agency partners.

Key Responsibilities:

The Revenue Manager will be responsible for various aspects of financial accounting and Operations:

  • Drive process improvements and automations with the month end close, forecast and reporting processes. Identifying areas for improvements, making recommendations based on experience, and driving change with proper documentation, communication, and roll out
  • Execute accurate and complete monthly revenue recognition and billing as well as monthly income forecasts
  • Update/maintain detail in Master Income Tracker with latest information obtained from business leads, agency contacts and client contracts
  • Ensure income is assigned to appropriate depts/functions to enable product and business lead level reporting and profitability analysis
  • Review client contract documentation and maintain files to support revenue recognition
  • Coordinate with agency partners and business leads to confirm status of fee approvals, client-specific fee reconciliation and reporting requirements, coordinate fee transfers and billing as needed
  • Hire and manage analyst resources, who will be responsible for executing intercompany billings, journal entries, reconciliations, reporting and analysis.
  • Provide monthly income reporting to internal management and for communication to Segment
  • Partner with business leads and analyze time sheet data to understand status of project work and assess financial risks
  • Assist in client and internal/external audits
  • Proactively identify and implement opportunities to improve business/financial processes and controls resulting in positive bottom-line impact

Background and Requirements


Required Skills

  • Exceptional Excel skills
  • Advanced modeling and analytical skills. PowerQuery or PowerBI experience required.
  • Must be detail oriented with the ability to think strategically and analytically player who can function well in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple
  • projects and work within strict deadlines.
  • Experience in the Marketing and Advertising industry in a Client Finance role strongly preferred


Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor//'s degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent (CPA and/or MBA a plus) Minimum 8 years experience
  • Experience working within a business unit of a public corporation with multiple P and Ls/depts is highly preferred
  • Experience within Technology Managed Services and Advertising Agency / Digital Media companies is highly preferred
