- Location: Pune / Hyderabad (Work from Office)
The SaaS Accountant will support early- to mid-stage software and tech clients, providing structure to their finance operations. This role requires a senior-level professional with expertise in SaaS accounting, revenue recognition, and investor-ready financial reporting.
- Manage revenue recognition under ASC 606, including deferred revenue schedules, contract liabilities, and MRR/ARR tracking.
- Prepare investor-ready financials, including monthly close packages, KPIs, and variance analysis.
- Support VC-backed companies with board reporting and audit/tax requirements.
- Utilize tools like QuickBooks Online, SaaS Optics/Maxio, or Chargebee for financial operations.
- Provide strategic guidance to clients scaling their finance operations.
- Bachelor�s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3�5 years of experience working with early- to mid-stage SaaS companies.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accrual accounting.
- Expertise in revenue recognition under ASC 606.
- Familiarity with tools such as QuickBooks Online, SaaSOptics/Maxio, Chargebee, or similar billing systems.
- Ability to prepare investor-ready financials and support audit/tax processes.
- Comfort working with VC-backed companies and handling board reporting.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Senior Accountant or Controller-level experience preferred.
- Exposure of having worked with firms who serve US accounting/ clients - CPA
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Experience working with international teams is a plus.

Pay: ₹80,000.00 - ₹115,000.00 per month
