Income Tax: Advance tax calculation, TDS deduction & payment, filing of TDS returns (24Q, 26Q), preparation of Form 16/16A, and assistance in annual income tax return filing.
Professional Tax & Other Statutory Levies: Timely payment and compliance with state-specific requirements.
Prepare and maintain tax records, reconciliations, and documentation to support filings and audits.
Coordinate and respond to tax assessments, notices, appeals, and audits from Income Tax, GST, or other statutory departments.
Monitor changes and updates in Indian tax laws, Finance Acts, and CBIC/IT Department notifications, ensuring internal processes remain compliant.
Assist management with tax planning, risk mitigation, and optimization of tax liabilities.
Ensure accurate posting of all tax-related entries in accounting books (Tally/ERP/other systems).
Prepare MIS reports on tax liabilities, payments, and refunds for management review.
Liaise with tax consultants, auditors, and government authorities for statutory submissions and clarifications.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce/Finance/Accounting (B.Com/M.Com/MBA in Finance preferred).
CA / Inter CA or equivalent tax-related certification is a plus.
Minimum 4–6 years of experience in Indian taxation (direct & indirect) and accounting.
Strong knowledge of:
GST laws (CGST, SGST, IGST) and e-invoicing provisions.
Income Tax Act, 1961, including TDS and Advance Tax.
Companies Act and related statutory compliances.
Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally ERP, SAP, or other ERP platforms and MS Excel.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and meet strict statutory deadlines.
