The Role:


  • Manage, lead, and streamline the procurement function across all categories like seeds, crop care and farm implements
  • Develop and execute demand planning strategies to ensure accurate forecasting and alignment with business needs.
  • Build processes and systems for effective procurement, inventory management, logistics, and Supply Chain Management.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across AgroStar and ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations.
  • Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality. Continuously review procurement processes for potential improvements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, operations, and product development teams, to align procurement strategies with business goals.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with Vendors.
  • Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.


Qualifications we look for:


  • 10+ years of experience handling procurement of 200cr + spend in a large assortment of retail SKUs, in the Crop Protection industry, with Bachelors/Masters in a relevant field.
  • Strong experience in demand planning, with the ability to forecast accurately and align procurement with business needs.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and BigQuery for data management and analysis.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, vendor management, supply chain management, logistics, and operations within the Crop Protection industry.
  • Great stakeholder management skills, exceptional interpersonal & negotiation skills, along with excellent networking & relationship management skills.
  • Strong Business & financial acumen, ability to strategize, and
  • Ability to work across functions, deep dive & execute.
