A software sales executive is responsible for driving the sales of software products and solutions to businesses, building client relationships, and consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets


  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, and referrals.
  • Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations to prospective clients, tailored to their business needs.
  • Negotiate contracts, handle objections, and close sales to achieve monthly and quarterly targets.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Stay updated with market trends, competitor activities, and new software developments.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and technical teams to align sales strategies and address customer requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, forecasts, and client interactions.
  • Provide after-sales support and ensure client success with purchased software solutions.


Required Skills and Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, IT, computer science, or related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in software or technology sales, particularly in B2B environments.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong understanding of software products and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical clients.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools and sales tracking systems.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach and the ability to work independently.
  • Experience selling SaaS solutions or knowledge of industry-specific software is a plus.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
