Sr. Accounts Executive

Rising Star Outreach of India (RSOI) was started in 2004 to work for the upliftment of Persons Affected by Leprosy. RSOI works with Leprosy colonies and CBRs situated in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Orissa and Bihar.

RSOI provides 3 major activities for the People Affected by Leprosy, they are 1. Education, 2. Medical support and 3. Colony Development Activities.

The role involves comprehensive management of the accounting functions for our Bihar operations. This includes responsibilities such as making voucher entries in TALLY, filing vouchers, and ensuring accurate financial transactions are maintained. Additionally, the person will handle reconciliations and prepare financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. This position is essential for maintaining the financial integrity and operational efficiency of the organization.

• Handling voucher entries and filing in TALLY
  

• Maintaining precise financial transactions and reconciliations
  

• Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  

• Candidates should be proficient in TALLY ERP and knowledgeable about TDS provisions, including recovery from suppliers' bills and timely remittance. Responsibilities also include supplier reconciliations, cash balance management, inter-unit reconciliations, and upkeep of the Fixed Asset register.
  

• An understanding of Bihar's Profession Tax rules, including remittance and filing, is essential. The individual will assist the Area Manager in all accounting and reporting functions for Bihar and will be involved in creating budgets and variance reports.
  

• Additionally, support for the Central Accounting Team during the annual audit is expected. Proficiency in Excel for report preparation is also crucial.
  

• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
  
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met.
  
• Meticulous attention to detail is required to ensure accuracy in reporting and documentation.
  
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve organisational goals.
  
• Strong skills in prioritising tasks and managing time efficiently to meet client expectations.
  
• Familiarity with accounting software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
  

1. Education: Bachelor's / Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

2. Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of experience in accounting and finance, with a focus on financial reporting, analysis, and management.

3. Skills: Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and financial software.

Willing to work with People Affected by Leprosy and children from a leprosy background and the job requires travel occasionally.
