Experience: 5+ years as a Welfare Officer / HR (Factory setup)
Education:
- MSW (Personnel Management / Industrial Relations / HR) or MBA (HR)
- Candidate must be eligible/approved as Welfare Officer under the Tamil Nadu Factories Act
We are looking for a
Welfare Officer to manage statutory employee welfare, grievance handling, and compliance functions at our textile manufacturing unit in Bhavani, Erode. The role requires strong knowledge of labor welfare provisions, employee engagement, and factory compliance under the Factories Act.- Implement welfare provisions as per the Factories Act, 1948 and Tamil Nadu rules.
- Handle employee relations, grievances, and dispute resolution effectively.
- Organize and monitor welfare facilities such as canteen, transport, medical care, housing, and safety programs.
- Conduct employee engagement, awareness, and training programs.
- Maintain statutory registers, records, and returns related to welfare and labor laws.
- Act as a liaison between management, workers, and government authorities.
- Ensure compliance with all legal, environmental, and labor regulations.
- Promote a positive work culture with focus on discipline, well-being, and productivity.
- MSW (HR / Personnel Management / Industrial Relations) or MBA (HR).
- Recognized/eligible as Welfare Officer under the Factories Act.
- 3–7 years of relevant experience in textile/garments factory welfare functions.
- Strong communication skills in Tamil & English.
- Knowledge of labor laws, statutory compliance, and worker engagement practices.
- Empathetic, approachable, and capable of maintaining harmonious industrial relations.
