We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SQL Server DBA to manage, maintain, and optimize our Microsoft SQL Server database environment. The ideal candidate will have 6–8 years of hands-on experience in database administration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, and high availability solutions.
Desired Skills and experienceï® Candidates should have a B.E./B.Tech/MCA/MBA in Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field
ï® 6–8 years of experience as a SQL Server DBA.
ï® Strong expertise in SQL Server 2016/2019/2022 administration.
ï® Proficiency in T-SQL, performance tuning, and query optimization.
ï® Experience with backup/recovery tools and disaster recovery planning.
ï® Familiarity with monitoring tools like SQL Server Profiler, Extended Events, and third-party solutions.
ï® Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
ï® Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or similar certification will be a plus.
ï® Experience with cloud-based SQL Server deployments (Azure SQL, AWS RDS).
ï® Knowledge of SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS.
ï® Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
ï® Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
ï® Excellent communication skills to interact with stakeholders and provide clear updates.
ï® Must possess good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Key Responsibilitiesï® Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server instances across development, testing, and production environments.
ï® Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies to ensure optimal performance.
ï® Manage database security, roles, and permissions to ensure data integrity and compliance.
ï® Perform regular backups and recovery operations and implement disaster recovery strategies.
ï® Design and implement high availability solutions including clustering, replication, and Always on Availability Groups.
ï® Automate routine database tasks using PowerShell or T-SQL scripts.
ï® Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to support application deployments and troubleshoot issues.
ï® Maintain documentation for database configurations, procedures, and standards.
