Impel Ferrocast Private Limited is seeking a motivated and experienced
Fettling Supervisor to lead and manage the fettling operations in our CI/SG iron foundry. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in fettling processes and capable of ensuring timely and quality finishing of castings.- Supervise all fettling activities including grinding, cutting, and shot blasting of castings.
- Allocate work to fettling workers and monitor their performance.
- Ensure removal of gates, risers, fins, and other casting defects as per quality standards.
- Maintain production records and daily shift reports.
- Coordinate with molding, melting, and quality departments to maintain workflow.
- Ensure availability and proper maintenance of fettling tools and equipment.
- Train team members on safe work practices and ensure compliance with safety norms.
- Monitor casting rework and rejection rates and take corrective actions.
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or related field.
- Minimum 3�5 years of experience in fettling operations in a CI/SG iron foundry.
- Good knowledge of grinding tools, safety protocols, and casting finishing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret casting drawings and work instructions.
- Strong leadership and team coordination abilities.
- Attention to detail and quality-oriented mindset.
- Basic understanding of foundry processes and casting defects.
