We are looking for a
highly motivated and skilled GIS Intern (Expert Level) to support spatial data analysis, map creation, and geospatial project development. This role is ideal for candidates who already have a strong foundation in GIS tools and technologies and are looking to apply their knowledge in a real-world environment while gaining further industry experience.- Perform spatial analysis and geoprocessing using ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar GIS platforms.
- Collect, clean, and manage geospatial datasets from various sources (remote sensing, survey data, etc.).
- Develop detailed maps and visualizations to support planning, engineering, or environmental projects.
- Assist in the development of web-based GIS applications using tools such as ArcGIS Online, Mapbox, or Leaflet.
- Conduct field data collection using GPS and mobile GIS tools.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on research, reporting, and presentations.
- Maintain GIS databases and ensure metadata accuracy.
- Automate GIS tasks using Python (ArcPy, GeoPandas) or R when applicable
