Powertrain Engineering (PE) in Bangalore was created as a satellite office in 2014. In 2016, the team grew in competence and capabilities to become an application center for UD. Since 2021, PE Bangalore has been repositioning itself to be recognized as a competent and innovative site within global Powertrain Engineering and GTT Bangalore providing end to end engineering solutions to all brands. The technology team- System & Components is key in driving future powertrain development.

As Group Manager of this team, you will be reporting to Director – Base Engine, Driveline, Electrical & Electronics (E&E).

The mission:
- Develop & lead a team of (Engine & Driveline) systems engineers with expertise in architecture, functions, Diagnostic services, cyber security, powertrain communication and configuration.
- Lead and coach a team who will perform the development work of E&E components for group and JV/Alliance needs.
- Grow a competent team of SW & function developers who are well integrated into global agile teams.
- Drive the roadmaps collaboratively, based on Product streams, Application & Market knowledge and make PE Bangalore a leading site in virtual powertrain development.
- You are an active and dedicated person with the player mindset that takes ownership for the work that needs to be done. Being a team player and supportive among individuals and different organizations.
- You have broad technical knowledge with a deep interest in developing & leading the team that provides a strong technical leadership for Powertrain Architecture, Requirements Management, Communication with Vehicle and Diagnostics Strategies.

About You?
- 12+ years' of diverse experience in automotive engineering environment, ideally with an engineering education.
- Good hands-on experience in embedded systems, Electrical/electronic engineering, SW, Functional development, Diagnostics.
- Good knowledge of medium and heavy vehicle products application.
- You are able to create organization-wide energy and optimism for the future; create milestones for technology decisions and articulate the vision in a way everyone can relate to
- You demonstrate courage and integrity - Face difficult issues and support others who do the same. Provides direct and actionable feedback.
