- MSc in Medical Physics and hand on experience in Linac radiation machine required.
- Treatment Planning:Assisting in the development and implementation of treatment plans in collaboration with radiation oncologists and other members of the treatment planning team.
- Quality Assurance:Performing or overseeing the quality assurance of treatment planning systems, including acceptance testing, commissioning, and routine checks.
- Radiation Measurements:Determining radiation dose distributions in patients undergoing treatment, often using computerized treatment planning or direct radiation measurements.
- Equipment Maintenance:Assisting in the maintenance and quality control of radiation therapy equipment, such as linear accelerators.
- Procedure Establishment:Helping to establish and document treatment planning and treatment procedures.
- Patient Care:Working with patients during treatment, ensuring their safety and comfort, and providing explanations about the procedures.
- Training and Education:Participating in the training and education of other healthcare professionals, such as radiation therapists.
