Lead Software Engineer

We are seeking an exceptional Lead Software Engineer (PR3) to be our most senior technical leader in India. This is a pivotal individual contributor role where you will not manage people, but instead drive the technical vision, execution, and excellence for critical customer-facing features. You will be instrumental in shaping our next-generation platform, embedding automation and high engineering standards into our DNA, with a significant focus on our high-traffic e-commerce category pages.

• Technical Vision & Leadership: Spearhead the design and development of highly scalable and performant frontend and backend solutions, with a primary focus on complex e-commerce category pages, ensuring a full-stack approach.
  
• Architectural Stewardship: Collaborate closely with architects to define and implement innovative, future-proof solutions. Drive critical technical decisions, ensuring architectural integrity, scalability, and maintainability across the platform.
  
• Automation & Efficiency Champion: Champion a culture of automation across the entire software development lifecycle, from advanced testing strategies to streamlined deployment pipelines. Identify and implement opportunities to leverage AI agentic knowledge to enhance system intelligence and operational efficiency.
  
• High Engineering Standards: Establish, advocate for, and enforce high technical standards, best practices in design patterns, code quality, and comprehensive testing methodologies to ensure system reliability and resilience.
  
• Technical Mentorship & Growth: Act as a lead technical mentor, guiding and elevating the engineering capabilities of the team through expert code reviews, knowledge sharing sessions, and fostering a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.
  
• End-to-End Ownership: Take full technical ownership of features from conception to production, including detailed planning, hands-on development, rigorous testing, and seamless integration into our AWS cloud infrastructure.
  

• Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in software development, with a significant track record in senior individual contributor roles, demonstrating deep technical expertise and leadership.
  
• Frontend Mastery: Deep expertise in modern frontend technologies and frameworks, with a proven ability to build complex, high-performance, and user-centric web applications, particularly within an e-commerce context.
  
• Backend Proficiency: Strong command of backend development principles and technologies, capable of designing and implementing scalable APIs and services.
  
• TypeScript Excellence: Expert-level understanding and practical experience with TypeScript for building robust, type-safe, and maintainable applications.
  
• Cloud Expertise: Hands-on experience with AWS services for deploying, managing, and scaling applications in a production environment is a must.
  
• Architectural Acumen: Exceptional skills in software architecture, system design, and making sound, impactful technical decisions in complex and evolving environments.
  
• Quality & Automation Focus: A strong commitment to quality, demonstrated through extensive experience with various testing methodologies (unit, integration, end-to-end) and a passionate drive for automation.
  
• Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Proven ability to lead technical initiatives, influence engineering direction, and effectively mentor and elevate a team's technical capabilities without direct people management responsibilities.
  
• Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle challenging technical issues and drive them to innovative resolutions.
  
• Collaboration: A highly collaborative mindset, eager to work cross-functionally with other engineers, product managers, and architects to achieve shared goals.
  

• Demonstrable knowledge and practical application of AI agentic systems or advanced automation frameworks in a production environment.
  
• Experience with large-scale system re-architecture or modernization projects.
