The Sales Officer - Distribution is responsible for managing and growing the distribution network in a defined territory. This includes working closely with distributors, retailers, and internal teams to drive primary and secondary sales, ensure product availability, and achieve sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Appoint, manage, and nurture distributors and stockists in the assigned territory.
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for both primary (distributor-level) and secondary (retail-level) sales.
Ensure effective product availability, visibility, and placement across the retail channel.
Regularly visit distributors and retailers to build strong relationships and ensure order generation.
Monitor distributor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment.
Plan and execute route plans for retail market visits.
Identify new market opportunities and suggest market expansion strategies.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor�s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
1�3 years of experience in distribution sales
Strong understanding of primary and secondary sales operations.
Good knowledge of local geography and market dynamics.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Target-driven with a proactive and problem-solving attitude.
Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools.
Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned area.
