Job Summary:


We are seeking a highly experienced and qualified

Biomedical Engineer with over 10 years of hands-on experience in managing, maintaining, and optimizing biomedical equipment in a hospital environment. The ideal candidate will ensure equipment functionality, regulatory compliance, and support clinical staff with technical expertise.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Oversee the installation, maintenance, calibration, and repair of all biomedical equipment and medical devices across the hospital.
  • Ensure all equipment functions efficiently and complies with NABH standards, safety protocols, and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Develop and implement Preventive Maintenance Schedules (PMS) for critical equipment like ventilators, monitors, defibrillators, infusion pumps, OT lights, anesthesia machines, etc.
  • Manage equipment inventory, including documentation, tracking, and service history records.
  • Liaise with vendors and OEMs for AMC/CMC, warranty services, and procurement.
  • Provide technical training and guidance to hospital staff on proper equipment usage.
  • Monitor breakdown calls and ensure timely resolution with minimum downtime.
  • Coordinate with clinical departments for equipment need assessments and technology upgrades.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies (AERB, NABH, etc.) for applicable medical devices.
  • Participate in hospital audits, quality checks, and budgeting for equipment maintenance and procurement.


Required Qualifications & Skills:


  • B.E. / B.Tech / M.Tech in Biomedical Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a hospital setting or with a biomedical service provider.
  • Strong knowledge of a wide range of biomedical equipment used in ICU, OT, Radiology, Pathology, Dialysis, and Emergency departments.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards (NABH, AERB, etc.).
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and vendor coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in using biomedical software/tools for asset management and calibration records.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Prior experience in setting up new hospital units or large-scale equipment installations.
  • Training/certification from reputed OEMs (GE, Philips, Siemens, etc.).
  • Exposure to hospital automation systems and biomedical asset management platforms.
