We are looking for a
Quality Engineer with specialization in BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) compliance, possessing at least 2 years of hands-on experience in the manufacturing sector. The ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge of BIS certification processes, standards applicable to home appliances, and regulatory audits. This role will play a key part in ensuring that our products meet all statutory and regulatory requirements, alongside maintaining internal quality standards.- Ensure end-to-end compliance with BIS certification requirements for products and processes.
- Coordinate with BIS authorities, testing laboratories, and certification bodies for approvals and renewals.
- Maintain and update documentation for all BIS-related submissions, test reports, and licenses.
- Lead internal audits and prepare for external BIS inspections or surveillance audits.
- Collaborate with design, production, and R&D teams to ensure products are developed in line with relevant BIS standards.
- Monitor product and process quality to ensure consistency and compliance with ISO 9001 and BIS norms.
- Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) in case of non-compliance or customer complaints.
- Provide training and guidance to team members regarding BIS norms, documentation, and updates in regulations.
- Support implementation of quality tools like RCA, FMEA, 5 Why, etc., for continuous improvement.
- Expertise in BIS standards, certification procedures, and compliance audits � especially related to home appliances.
- Experience working with regulatory bodies and third-party test labs for BIS approvals.
- Familiarity with quality management systems such as ISO 9001, and related documentation.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality inspection techniques.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and 5S is a plus.
- Bachelor�s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Industrial Engineering is required.
