Business Development Manager- IT Sales & Services


Experience: 2-5 years.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Identify and target potential clients across verticals for custom software development and IT staffing.
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with decision-makers (CXOs, IT Heads, Procurement Managers).
  • Understand client pain points and position tailored technology and staffing solutions.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve targets.
  • Own the sales funnel from lead generation to deal closure.
  • Forecast revenue, track performance metrics, and report regularly to leadership.
  • Actively handle and manage bidding platforms such as Upwork, Freelancer, Guru, Clutch, and Fiverr.
  • Respond to RFPs/RFIs with well-structured proposals in collaboration with presales and tech teams.
  • Optimize profiles and bidding strategies to improve conversion rates.
  • Work closely with delivery, project management, and recruitment teams to align offerings with market needs.
  • Assist in onboarding new clients and ensure a smooth handover to delivery teams.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor strategies.
  • Identify new market opportunities and channels for growth.
  • 2-5 years of proven experience in B2B sales for IT services (custom software development and IT staffing).
  • Strong understanding of technologies like web/mobile app development, cloud services, AI/ML, and enterprise solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with bidding platforms (Upwork, Freelancer, etc.) � must know how to bid smartly and close deals.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong network of industry contacts is a plus.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently.
  • Bachelor's/Master�s degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or related fields.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience working with global clients (US, UK, Europe, Middle East, or APAC).
  • Understanding of IT project lifecycle, Agile methodologies, and staffing models (contract/remote/onsite).
