Description and Requirements


Job Title: Marketing – Retail Training Manager


Location: Gurgaon


Reports to: Marketing Head


Role Overview:


We are looking for a passionate and energetic

Retail Training Manager to lead the development and execution of training programs for our In-Shop Demonstrators (ISDs) and sales teams across India. This role is key to enhancing in-store consumer experience, strengthening product knowledge, and enabling impactful retail storytelling in one of the most dynamic and competitive smartphone markets.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Design & Deliver Training Programs:

+ Create structured product training modules for new launches (hardware, software, AI features, ecosystem integration).

+ Develop and execute training plans for ISDs and TSI/Sales Teams across General Trade and Modern Trade.

  • Drive Retail Storytelling & Experience:

+ Equip teams with brand-aligned retail narratives to enhance the

in-store demo experience.

+ Train teams on showcasing differentiators like

AI camera features, ecosystem products, design aesthetics, etc.
  • Capability Building:

+ Conduct regular upskilling sessions on consumer engagement, selling skills, visual merchandising, and demo techniques.

+ Monitor performance metrics and recommend interventions for low-performing zones.

  • Digital-First Training Enablement:

+ Leverage digital tools (LMS, videos, WhatsApp groups, quizzes) to scale learning.

+ Maintain training dashboards and track participation and effectiveness.

  • Retail Audits & Feedback Loop:

+ Conduct on-ground training audits and mystery shopper insights for training needs assessment.

+ Gather on-ground insights to inform future training content and focus areas.


Key Requirements:


  • 5�8 years of experience in retail training or sales capability roles within the smartphone, consumer electronics, or telecom industry.
  • Strong knowledge of retail formats (LFR, MBO, GT) and ISD/TSM structures in India.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Hindi (regional languages a plus).
  • Demonstrated ability to energize field teams and drive behavior change.
  • Experience with launch readiness training and new product GTM support.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across zones.


Preferred Attributes:


  • Passion for smartphones and consumer tech.
  • Experience in training content creation (decks, videos, assessments).
  • Understanding of consumer behavior at retail level.
  • High adaptability and collaborative mindset.
