- Set up VMC machines with required tools, fixtures, and materials.
- Load CNC programs and make necessary tool offsets and adjustments.
- Interpret and understand engineering drawings, job orders, and quality standards.
- Operate the VMC machine to produce components as per specifications.
- Conduct in-process inspection using measuring instruments (e.g., Vernier, micrometer, height gauge).
- Ensure component quality and surface finish meet required tolerances.
- Perform machine changeovers and assist in minor troubleshooting.
- Maintain daily production reports and job records.
- Ensure adherence to safety procedures and cleanliness in the work area.
- Report any machine or tool issues to the maintenance or engineering team.
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical / Machinist / Tool & Die / Production or related trade.
- 2�5 years of hands-on experience in VMC machine setting and operation.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings (2D).
- Familiarity with CNC control systems
- Experience in tool setting, offset adjustment, and basic program modification.
- Good understanding of machining parameters (feeds, speeds, depth of cut)
- Knowledge of basic G-code and M-code.
- Experience in batch production or custom part machining.
- Exposure to different materials like steel, aluminum, and cast iron.
- Understanding of quality management systems (ISO/TS standards).
