Job Title: Costing Engineer

Location: Pune

Terms: Full-time

About the Role:

We are seeking a

Costing Engineer to manage and analyze product and process costs, ensuring accurate cost estimation, control, and optimization to support pricing strategies and business decisions.

Responsibilities:Â· Review and analyze customer drawings, specifications, and requirementsÂ· Prepare detailed cost estimates for machined components and assemblies, considering material, machining time, tooling, and subcontracting needs.Â· Liaise with production, procurement, and design teams to validate cost assumptions.Â· Provide technical support to the sales team in responding to RFQs and tenders.Â· Prepare and submit quotations/proposals in a timely and accurate manner.Â· Maintain and update pricing databases, costing templates, and estimation tools.Â· Follow up on submitted quotations and assist in order conversion.Â· Coordinate with customers and internal teams to clarify technical and commercial aspects of enquiries.Â· Maintain records of enquiries, quotations, and cost analysis for future reference.Â· Support in inside sales activities including customer communication, lead follow-up, and CRM updates

Candidate Requirements:Â· Diploma(General/NTTF/GTTC) / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.Â· 3–5 years of experience in a machine shop, toolroom, or precision engineering environment.Â· Strong understanding of machining processes (turning, milling, grinding, etc.).Â· Experience in costing and estimation of machined parts and assemblies.Â· Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T.Â· Working knowledge of materials, surface treatments, and manufacturing standards.Â· Good communication skills and customer-oriented mindset.Â· Proficiency in MS Office; experience with ERP or costing software is an advantage.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: â‚¹15,000.00 - â‚¹40,000.00 per month
