Role Summary:
The Head of Operations & Events will serve as a key member of the leadership team, responsible for ensuring operational excellence and leading all marketing and event initiatives. This dual-role requires both a strong strategic mindset and execution ability. You will be expected to streamline internal systems, oversee program and event implementation, lead marketing efforts, and work closely with cross-functional teams. You’ll collaborate with the Founder to translate vision into action while building a culture of accountability, innovation, and inclusivity.
Key Responsibilities:Strategic Operations & Planning
· - Design, implement, and optimize operational systems and processes to support growth and efficiency.
· - Collaborate with leadership to translate strategic priorities into operational plans and KPIs.
· - Oversee budgets, forecasts, and financial tracking to align resources with strategic objectives.
· - Lead WLC's expansion into 2–3 new cities.
Team Leadership & People Management
· - Lead, mentor, and build capacity within cross-functional teams.
· - Implement systems for performance management, team productivity, and internal communication.
· - Create a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Program, Event & Community Execution
· - Plan, organize, and execute a variety of events and community programs.
· - Coordinate logistics such as venue selection, catering, audio-visual setup, and social media promotion.
· - Manage on-site event activities to ensure smooth execution and customer satisfaction.
· - Ensure smooth execution of WLC’s programs and community offerings across the member lifecycle.
· - Monitor and analyze the performance of events and programs and provide improvement insights.
Marketing Campaigns & Brand Promotion
· - Develop and implement marketing campaigns to promote WLC and its offerings.
· - Work closely with the marketing team to ensure consistent brand messaging.
· - Collaborate with the social media team to create content for various platforms.
· - Identify and explore opportunities to enhance brand visibility and recognition.
Tech & Infrastructure Oversight
· - Streamline tech tools and platforms for efficient team collaboration and member engagement.
· - Evaluate and implement systems (CRM, project management, event platforms, etc.) to support scale.
Stakeholder Management & Reporting
· - Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, partners, and sponsors to achieve strategic goals.
· - Serve as the operational point-of-contact for key external stakeholders.
· - Track progress on deliverables and report outcomes to the Founder and Board as needed.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
· - 8–12 years of experience in operations, event planning, or marketing, preferably in startups, social impact, or leadership/community-driven organizations.
· - Proven track record of managing high-performing teams and leading events and programs.
· - Strong project management and organizational skills.
· - Excellent written and verbal communication.
· - Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative ideas.
· - Proficient in using marketing tools and digital platforms.
· - High emotional intelligence and comfort working in a founder-led, mission-driven environment.
