Head of Project Execution - Solar/PM-KUSUM

1. Job Summary

This senior role will be the central command for all post-tender-award activities. You will be responsible for orchestrating our state teams, head office project coordinators, customer service, and purchase departments to ensure flawless, timely, and compliant execution of projects won from State Nodal Agencies (SNAs) like MSEDCL, MEDA, OREDA, and others. The ultimate goal is to build a scalable and efficient execution engine that ensures high customer satisfaction (for both farmers and dealers) and timely payment realization.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Strategic Program Management & Process Excellence:

• Design, implement, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the entire project lifecycle, from order receipt to installation, commissioning, and handover.
  

• Develop a master execution plan for all ongoing tenders, allocating resources and setting timelines for state-wise targets.
  

• Create and manage a central MIS and dashboard to track key performance indicators (KPIs) in real-time, such as Installation Timelines, Inventory Levels, Payment Status, and Customer Service Tickets.
  

B. Execution & Operations Oversight:

• Act as the single point of accountability for meeting installation targets across all states.
  

• Coordinate closely with the Purchase Team to ensure timely procurement and dispatch of materials based on state-wise demand forecasts.
  

• Oversee the State Project Teams, ensuring they effectively manage local inventory, installation partners, and after-sales service.
  

• Guide the Head Office Project Coordinator to ensure all documentation, scheduling, and internal coordination are seamless.
  

C. SNA & Government Liaison:

• Oversee the entire compliance and documentation process required by each State Nodal Agency (SNA).
  

• Ensure timely submission of installation reports, joint commissioning certificates, and other required documents for payment realization.
  

• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with key officials at various SNAs to facilitate smooth operations.
  

D. Stakeholder & Channel Management:

• Work with the Key Account Manager to support the dealer network, ensuring they have the necessary materials, information, and backend support to drive sales.
  

• Guide the Customer Service Coordinators (for both farmers and dealers) to resolve escalations and improve the overall customer experience.
  

• Ensure a smooth flow of information between the company, its dealers, and the end-user farmers.
  

3. Qualifications & Skills

Essential (Must-Have):

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field.
  

• Experience: 12-18 years of experience with a significant portion in project execution or operations management, preferably in a distributed, multi-state environment.
  

• Industry Experience: Proven experience in the Solar industry, Power, or a related sector involving large-scale project rollouts.
  

• Core Competency: Demonstrable experience working on government tenders/projects and dealing with government agencies/PSUs.
  

• Leadership: Strong experience leading cross-functional teams and managing managers.
  

Preferred (Good-to-Have):

• Direct experience with the PM-KUSUM scheme is highly desirable.
  

• An MBA in Operations or a related field.
  

• Experience in a dealer-driven or channel sales-based business model.
  

• Expertise in using ERP systems and Project Management software for large-scale operations.
  

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹3,000,000.00 per year
