· Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and diagrams to understand the milling process
· Operate milling machines to mill, drill, bore, grind, and shape work pieces according to specifications
· Monitor and adjust machine settings for temperature, cycle speed, and precision
· Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards
· Perform regular maintenance checks and routine cleaning to keep machines in optimal working condition
· Replace worn tools and machine parts as necessary
· Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and protect equipment
· Record data for each job, including materials used, machine settings, and product output
· Communicate with team members and supervisors about machine performance and maintenance needs
· Proven experience as a Milling Machine Operator
· Knowledge of milling machine operation and maintenance
· Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings
· Proficient in using precision tools (e.g. calipers, micrometers)
· Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items
· Attention to detail
· ITI/Diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a plus
