Purchase Executive to manage sourcing, procuring, and managing the end-to-end purchase and export process of traditional pooja items from India to stores located in the United States. We are the largest retail chain in the United States of America. Specializing in traditional Indian flowers and devotional items for festivals, occasions, and events. Proudly operating across more than 20+ location in USA. In addition, we are the leading exporter of traditional Indian flowers, bringing the beauty and authenticity of India’s floral heritage to communities around the world. This role demands strong vendor management, export documentation knowledge, quality control, and coordination with logistics and international teams.

Job Roles & Responsibilities:

• Vendor Development & Management
  
• Identify and build relationships with reliable suppliers for pooja products (Pooja essentials, return gift items etc.).
  
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
  
• Ensure suppliers meet quality standards and timely delivery expectations.
  
• Procurement & Inventory Coordination
  
• Prepare purchase orders based on demand from US stores.
  
• Maintain optimal stock levels to meet export schedules without overstocking.
  
• Coordinate with warehouse/inventory teams to track goods.
  
• Export Documentation & Compliance
  
• Ensure all export documents are prepared accurately (invoice, packing list etc.).
  
• Ensure compliance with Indian export regulations and US import requirements (customs, labelling, certifications).
  
• Quality Assurance
  
• Ensure the quality of goods meets international standards.
  
• Conduct random checks and coordinate third-party inspections if required.
  
• Logistics Coordination
  
• Coordinate with freight forwarders and shipping companies for timely dispatch.
  
• Track shipments and provide updates to internal teams and US counterparts.
  
• Cost Control & Budgeting
  
• Monitor procurement costs and suggest cost-saving opportunities.
  
• Maintain procurement records and budget tracking.
  
• Market Research & Product Sourcing
  
• Stay updated on new pooja products, seasonal trends, and cultural preferences in the US market.
  
• Source innovative, in-demand products suitable for export.
  
• Cross-functional Collaboration
  
• Coordinate with sales, warehouse, packaging, and export teams to ensure smooth order flow.
  
• Maintain clear communication with the US team for order requirements and delivery expectations.
  
• Vendor Payments & Reconciliation
  
• Follow up with the accounts team for timely vendor payments.
  
• Resolve discrepancies related to invoices or deliveries.
  
• Reporting
  
• Prepare regular reports on purchase activities, supplier performance, and cost metrics.
  

Requirements: ·

• 3�5 years of experience in procurement/purchasing, preferably in export operations.
  
• Willingness to travel locally for vendor visits, factory inspections, and product sourcing
  
• Knowledge of traditional Indian pooja products and cultural items.
  
• Strong negotiation and communication skills and ability to handle multiple vendors and shipments.
  
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
