Job Summary:

The Junior Mechanical QC Inspector is responsible for performing quality inspections, ensuring mechanical parts, components, and systems meet specified standards and engineering requirements. The role requires a basic understanding of mechanical engineering principles, quality standards, inspection techniques, and the ability to work with various inspection tools and equipment.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Inspection of Mechanical Components:
  • Conduct routine inspections of mechanical parts and components for conformance to engineering specifications and industry standards.
  • Verify dimensions, tolerances, and material quality using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Perform visual and mechanical inspections of products at various stages of production or assembly.
  • Identify and report defects or inconsistencies in product specifications.
  • Maintain detailed inspection records and logs of defects and non-conformances.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate inspection reports, logs, and certifications for quality assurance purposes.
  • Ensure that all documentation complies with the company�s quality control policies and procedures.
  • Assist in conducting mechanical testing such as stress, pressure, or load testing to ensure product performance.
  • Collaborate with senior inspectors to analyse test results and make necessary adjustments.
  • Ensure that all products and processes comply with industry standards, customer specifications, and safety regulations.
  • Suggest improvements to processes or inspection techniques to improve quality and reduce defects.
  • Assist in implementing corrective actions when non-conformities are identified.
  • Work closely with the production, engineering, and design teams to resolve quality issues & fetch updated drawings for related parts
  • Communicate findings to supervisors or senior inspectors promptly and provide support as needed.


Skills and Qualifications:


  • Educational Requirements:


ITI mechanical fitter having qc inspection experience

(0-1 year)


  • Technical Skills:
  • Familiarity with mechanical inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges,
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, materials, and production processes.
  • Basic understanding of technical drawings, blueprints,
  • Experience:
  • 0-1 years of experience in a mechanical inspection or quality control role.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or mechanical engineering environment is preferred.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Attention to detail and a keen eye for detecting defects.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
  • Need to travel at vendor end if required


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):


  • Accuracy of inspection results and reports.
  • Timeliness of inspections and reporting of non-conformities.
  • Adherence to quality standards and industry regulations.
  • Participation in continuous improvement initiatives.
