Key Responsibilities


  • New Product Development:Designing and formulating new confectionery products to meet market demands and consumer trends.
  • Formulation Development:Developing and optimizing recipes for confectionery products, including selecting appropriate ingredients and ensuring desired product characteristics.
  • Process Optimization:Improving manufacturing processes for confectionery products to enhance efficiency, consistency, and quality.
  • Raw Material Evaluation:Assessing the functionality and suitability of raw materials for use in confectionery products.
  • Sensory Evaluation:Conducting sensory evaluations of products to assess flavor, texture, and appearance.
  • Shelf-Life Studies:Conducting shelf-life studies to determine the stability and longevity of confectionery products.
  • Quality Assurance:Ensuring that products meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Collaboration:Working with cross-functional teams (marketing, sales, production) to ensure successful product development and launch.
  • Troubleshooting:Investigating and resolving technical issues related to product development and manufacturing.
  • Documentation:Maintaining accurate records of experiments, formulations, and product specifications.


Required Skills and Qualifications:


  • Education: A degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Engineering, or a related field is typically required.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of confectionery formulation, ingredient functionality, and food processing techniques.
  • Product Development Skills: Experience in developing new products from concept to commercialization.
