We are seeking a proactive and skilled
Mechanical Engineer / Site Engineer for a out site at Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd. The role involves supervising and coordinating on-site mechanical works related to shipbuilding, including equipment installation, ducting, piping, and outfitting. Candidates with prior experience in marine HVAC ducting design, layout, or installation will be given preference.- Plan, coordinate, and monitor mechanical installation activities at the shipyard site.
- Supervise and guide technicians, fitters, welders, and riggers during daily work execution.
- Review technical drawings, layouts, and specifications to ensure accurate execution.
- Coordinate HVAC ducting installation, alignment, and inspection (if experienced).
- Ensure compliance with project schedules, quality standards, and client requirements.
- Prepare daily progress reports and update project documentation.
- Resolve site issues in coordination with the client, design team, and subcontractors.
- Ensure implementation of safety protocols and proper use of PPE by the team.
- Conduct quality checks and support third-party or client inspections.
- Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institute.
- Minimum 3�5 years of experience in shipbuilding / marine / heavy engineering industry.
- Sound understanding of mechanical systems, piping, and structural fittings.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings.
- Strong site supervision, coordination, and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and basic project management tools.
- Hands-on experience in marine HVAC ducting design or installation.
- Previous experience working at Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd or similar shipyards.
- Knowledge of ship classification standards and marine regulations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
