- Carryout the medications according to standing instructions.
- Maintain personal hygiene and comfort of the patient.
- Implement and maintain ward policies routines.
- Coordinate patient care with other team members.
- Take rounds with the doctors and carryout new orders.
- Assisting doctors in various medical surgical diagnostic procedures.
- Prepare patients for operations.
- Attend last offices in case of a patient dying.
- Carry out admission and discharge procedures.
- Maintain all the records.
- Maintain consent form, checklist, investigation reports, vital signs charts, charts:
Take special care of MLC papers records.
Write day night orders Maintains ward statistics.
Educational Functions
- Help in orientation of New Staff Students.
- Extend cooperation and participate in clinical teaching.
- Provide for and demonstrate methods and procedures whenever needed.
- Participate in in-service education programmes.
